Editorial policies
JESTI is committed to maintaining the highest standards of editorial integrity, transparency, and scholarly excellence. Our editorial policies are designed to ensure that all submissions are handled fairly, efficiently, and ethically, in accordance with international publishing best practices and COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
1. Editorial Independence
The editorial board of JESTI operates with complete independence. Editorial decisions are based solely on the academic merit, originality, and relevance of submitted manuscripts, without influence from financial, institutional, or political factors.
2. Peer Review Policy
All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. Each paper is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. The reviewers’ identities remain confidential, and authors’ names are not disclosed during the review process.
Decisions are made based on reviewers’ recommendations and the final judgment of the editorial board.
3. Manuscript Evaluation Criteria
Submissions are assessed for:
-
Originality and contribution to the field
-
Scientific rigor and clarity of presentation
-
Relevance to the journal’s aims and scope
-
Ethical compliance and citation of related work
4. Revisions and Resubmission
Authors may be invited to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewers’ comments. Revised submissions must include a detailed response letter outlining changes made. Final acceptance is contingent upon satisfactory revisions.
5. Plagiarism and Ethical Compliance
All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using advanced software. Submissions found to contain plagiarism or duplicate publication will be immediately rejected and may lead to author sanctions.
Authors must adhere to international research ethics standards and disclose any potential conflicts of interest.
6. Retractions and Corrections
If errors or ethical breaches are discovered post-publication, the editorial team will issue corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern in accordance with COPE policies to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
7. Appeals and Complaints
Authors who wish to appeal editorial decisions or raise complaints about the review process may contact the Editor-in-Chief directly. Appeals must provide clear justification and evidence supporting the claim.
8. Open Access and Licensing
JESTI is an open access journal, providing free and immediate access to all published articles. Authors retain copyright under a Creative Commons license (CC BY 4.0), allowing unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction with proper attribution.
